Two exams of Intermediate Part-II postponed
The Punjab government has postponed two exams of Intermediate Part-II scheduled for April 20 and April 22. This decision came due to the 2024 by-elections in the country.
The Intermediate Part II Chemistry paper was scheduled for April 20 while the English paper scheduled for April 22 has been postponed. The Board of Intermediate and Secondary School Lahore (B.I.S.E.) has issued official notification.
According to B.I.S.E. notification, they have postponed two exams including Chemistry and English of Intermediate Part II.
The intermediatory board postponed the scheduled examinations in chemistry and English in five constituencies including Lahore, Kasur, and Sheikupura.
The board announced that the Lahore Board Chemistry exam would take place on May 23 and the English exam on May 25. Hence, candidates have permission to take the exams using their previous roll numbers and examination centers.
Hence, students of Intermediate Part II will have to modify their study plans and prepare for the new exam date. This postponement can be inconvenient for students and needs additional effort from students who already planned their studies schedule.
The Election Commission of Pakistan conducts By-elections when any seat in the National Assembly or any four provincial assemblies becomes vacant. The vacant seats may be due to resignation, death, disqualification, or de-notification of any elected member.
However, the Sindh government postponed the Intermediate Part 1 supplementary exams for Karachi in February 2024. This postponement came due to the general elections on February 8, 2024.
