Shah Mehmood Qureshi arrest and manhandled video goes viral
The arrest video of PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi has gone viral on social media as police re-arrested him again from Adiala Jail. Rawalpindi Police have arrested him immediately after his release from Adiala jail today.
The Supreme Court granted bail to Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Imran Khan in the cipher case on Dec 22, 2023. However, they did not get out of jail instantly due to other ongoing cases against them.
However, today a heavy squad of Rawalpindi police has arrested Shah Mehmood in a GHQ attack case and shifted him to an unknown location.
Police officers arrested, manhandled, and overpowered Shah before he could walk out of Adiala jail as a free man. The mistreatment of Shah Mehmood Qureshi by police during his arrest was spotted in a video. His arrest video has sparked outrage among staunch supporters of PTI on social media.
The video shows Shah Mehmood Qureshi holding what appears to be a legal bail paper in front of dozens of police officers who are preparing to arrest him once more despite the orders of the Supreme Court.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi addressed forcibly while standing in an armored vehicle. He said the Supreme Court granted him bail. This is cruelty. He is being punished for serving the nation.

Shah was about to continue his talk outside Adiala jail when a police officer approached him. He said to an officer “No, you can’t arrest me”. He again recalled this sentence but the police ignored it and pushed him around. Police forced him to walk towards a police armored van and drive to an unknown place.
Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi both were facing detention in Adiala Jail for previous some months in a cipher case. The Supreme Court granted bail to both of them last week.
While Imran had also other NAB cases, so he didn’t get out of jail. On the other hand, there were no other charges against Shah so he got out of Adiala today. However, Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner ordered his re-arrest under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) law.
