Saad Rafique opposes forming a Federal Government
Senior Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Saad Rafique opposes forming a government at the Federal level. He has spoken out against establishing a government at the Centre.
Saad claimed that the party had no desire to decorate this crown of thorns on its head. He wrote on X the establishment of the federal government was the joint responsibility of all parties in parliament, not just the PML-N.
He added Independent candidates supported by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) should take the initiative. They should form a joint central government with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
Saad also stated that no political party had a clear majority. Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz has no wish to wear this crown of thorns on its head. In this regard, Saad Rafique opposes forming a Federal Government.
However, another PML-N leader, Javed Latif, expressed hope that his party will determine that the party that won the most seats should be allowed to form the government. According to Javed, the attempt to create turmoil in the country may fail due to this.
Moreover, he said the day PML-N made this choice, he would tell who did the rigging. He would reveal who was the mastermind behind the general elections on Feb 8, 2024.

Meanwhile, a consultative meeting of the senior leadership of PML-N took place in Lahore. The leadership proposed that the party focus on making a government in Punjab rather than attempting to establish a government at the Centre.
According to Geo News, PML-N leaders told it that the leadership of PML-N should not make the federal government. Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif hosted this meeting to consult with senior leaders of the party to form a government.
They claimed Nawaz expressed that the party should not fulfill the unprincipled demands from any party when forming the federal government. Shehbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, and Ishaq Dar also attended the meeting.
