PTI supporters demand release of kidnapped activist Kamran Khan
PTI supporters and activists demand the release of young PTI activist Kamran Khan (kidnapped on April 30, 2024). He disappeared from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where the PTI government is in charge.
Despite the court orders, the government and other law enforcement officials could not recover Kamran Khan. The wife of Kamran Khan filed a writ case, which the Peshawar High Court (PHC) heard on May 3, 2024. Justice SM Attique Shah headed this bench to conduct a hearing of Kamran Khan’s kidnapping case.
Kamran’s wife informed the PHC bench that her husband failed to come home, after which she filed a case at East Cantt Police Station. She said there was CCTV footage that showed evidence of her husband’s kidnapping.
In response, Justice SM Attique ordered the advocate general to contact the inspector general of police to facilitate the recovery of Kamran Khan. After the PHC hearing, PTI leader Sher Ali Arbab told media reporters they had not seen Kamran for the last four days.
However, Sher Ali thanked PHC for considering Kamran’s wife’s petition. He stated picking up citizens would not resolve any issues. Hence, this unlawful practice should be ended.
On the other hand, PTI supporters express frustration over no development in the kidnapping case of activist Kamran Khan and demand his release immediately. They have moved to social media to raise awareness about Kamtran’s disappearance.

They have also raised concerns about the safety of party workers even under a PTI-led government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). PTI activists and other supporters emphasize the ongoing issue of enforced disappearances.
Hence, they demand answers from relevant authorities, including KPK Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. Meanwhile, Ali claimed he is personally following the case, and Kamran will soon return to come home. However, there has been no progress in this case, which has fueled the anger of party workers and supporters.
CCTV footage shows a black Prado from Eidgah Charsadda near Qila Bala Hisar at 5:13 p.m. kidnapped Kamran Khan on April 30, 2024. His phone also went dead.
