PM Shehbaz Sharif grants an extension to ACM Sidhu of 1 year
PM Shehbaz Sharif grants an extension to ACM (Air Chief Marshal) Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu on Monday for a year. This premier sent the summary to President Asif Zardari which he signed on Sunday evening.

Zaheer Babar came into the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) as chief on March 19, 2021. He is the 16th chief of army staff originally set to retire on 18th March 2024. Sidhu was born on April 16, 1965. He joined the GD(P) Branch of PAF in April 1986.
Throughout his career, he has commanded various units and held significant staff appointments, including serving as assistant chief of the air staff and additional secretary at the Ministry of Defence.
He graduated from Combat Commanders’ School, Air War College, and Royal College of Defence Studies (RCDS) in the UK. Air Marshal Sidhu has received prestigious military honors, including Tamgha-i-Imtiaz, Sitara-i-Imtiaz, and Hilal-i-Imtiaz.
With this extension, ACM Sidhu becomes one of the longest-serving officers in the history of the PAF, contributing to its legacy of excellence over the past 76 years.
