Pakistan is banned by the UAE for the meat export. This is another economic drop in Pakistan especially when dollars are much needed for Pakistan’s economic situation. The concern that arose on health issues when they found the fungus in the meat. Cows were found suffering from foot and mount diseases.
Dubai Municipality and Customs Authority (DMCA), detected the fungus in about 190 cows. All of those cows are now sent back. The authorities of Karachi have received a caution that Vaccination will be mandatory for all future exports. Before the ban, five tons of meat were exported every day from Pakistan to the UAE.

In This situation, Pakistan is banned by the UAE for meat export, but still has a silver lining in that only the sea routes got banned the air routes are still open for export. The ban will remain until October 10.
On the visit to five slaughterhouses in Karachi and Lahore by the Municipalities secretariat in Pakistan, according to the Gulf News they rejected three slaughterhouses’ reasons for missing equipment and bad hygiene.
We hope once the ban is lifted, Pakistan can improve its meat and cattle standards. Ensuring strong export relationships with the UAE and other nations are maintained, which leads to better economic situations for Pakistan.
