Canada expels Indian diplomat for Killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar. In a press conference, Mélanie Joly the Minister of Foreign Affairs suspects India’s involvement in the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

Mélanie Joly condoled on the death of Hardeep Singh to family and loved ones. “The allegations of involvement of foreign government representative may have been involved in the killing of Canadian citizen Hardeep Singh”. she added.

Joly’s expels Indian Diplomat over Hardeep Singh Nijjar’s killing

While Joly’s statement does confirm the expelling of a top Indian diplomat. But Joly didn’t take any name of the expelled Indian diplomat.

The Prime Minister of Canada showed concern over India’s involvement in the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar. At the G20 summit, the Canadian prime minister raised concerns over India’s involvement with Indian Prime Minister Modi.

“Canadian Agencies have been actively pursuing credible allegations of the potential link between India’s agents and the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar,” Justin Trudeau said in the statement.

This issue of Hardeep Singh Nijjar has created a lot of conflicts between India and Canada. Canadian government taking this matter as a killing of a Canadian citizen while India is taking this as a killing of a “terrorist” or “Extreme Khalistani activist”.

Hardeep Singh Nijjar was a Canadian activist and advocate. He wanted the creation of a separate Sikh state out of the Punjab region of India. Many Sikhs and Hardeep were part of a movement to make a separate country or state for the Sikhs named “Khalistan”. Many Sikhs call it the “Khalistan moment”. He was declared wanted by Indian authorities and was killed in Canada on 18 June 2023.
