Naila becomes first Pakistani woman to climb Chu Oyu after crossing Mount Everest and K-2. She is one of the noted female climbers who set this incredible mark on the summit of Chu Oyu on Oct 2, 2023. Her full name is Naila Kiani. She is currently living in Dubai but she originated from Pakistan.
Cho Oyu is the sixth-highest peak in the world with a height of 8,188 meters (26,864 feet). She made her seventh 8,000-meter peak in just seven months. It is a new record for both Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. According to the Pakistan consulate, she achieved this remarkable distinction at 11:30 a.m. Dubai time.

Naila enjoying her success said, “I am thrilled and humbled to have achieved this milestone”. Furthermore, she expressed gratitude to her friends, family, fellow climbers, and sponsor Bard Foundation for her achievement.
Niala’s achievement of breaking the record for climbing Chu Oyu is not the first time. She has achieved the milestone of crossing the nine world’s top mountain peaks as the first Pakistani woman. She climbed Gasherbrum I, Gasherbrum II, K-2, Annapurna, Mount Everest, Nanga Parbat, and Broad Peak in 2021-2023.
And now Naila becomes the first Pakistani woman to climb Chu Oyu. Her success is not only a personal achievement but also a matter of pride for Pakistan.
