IBO killed 10 terrorists in a Tank Operation. Intelligence-based operation (IBO) took place on Oct 3, 2023, in the Pezu area of Tank district, KPK. The military’s media wing reports that IBO has killed ten alleged terrorists. The operation took place when security forces received information about the movement of terrorists between the borders of Lakki Marwat and Tank districts (Dera Ismail Khan).

According to ISPR and local officials, IBO also conducted raids on suspected hiding places in Azamabad. As militarians approached, a fire exchange took place between troops and alleged terrorists. As a result, 10 gunmen were killed. ISPR also claimed that the alleged terrorists were involved in many terrorist activities. They killed civilians and also conducted terrorist attacks on security forces.

The military of Pakistan during the operation also recovered numerous explosives, a cache of arms, and ammunition from terrorists. The local citizens also appreciated the efforts of IBO to undermine the surging wave of terrorism.

Islamabad-based think-tank reported that with the rise of terrorism in Pakistan, there are 136 people have died in 65 militant attacks across September. The monthly report of the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS) states that 144 people were injured including civilians and security personnel. Moreover, it reports there is a remarkable 34% decrease in terrorist attacks. However, there is a 21% increase in the death rate and a 66% increase in injuries compared to the month of August.

Since 2022, a new wave of terrorism has been rising in Pakistan. Today ISPR gave us good news that IBO killed 10 terrorists in a Tank Operation.
