FIA summoned PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat over a March 9 tweet
The Cybercrime Wing of FIA (Federal Investigation Agency) has summoned PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat on March 18, 2024. They have summoned Sher Afzal in link to an investigation into a tweet filed by Barrister Aqeel Malik.
Barrister Aqeel is also a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from PML-N (Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz). The freshly elected National Assembly member, Sher Afzal Marwat made multiple posts on the social media app X (previously Twitter) on March 9, 2024.
However, it is unclear which of his tweets triggered Barrister Aqeel to file a complaint against Sher Afzal Marwat. One of his tweets concerned his accusations that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz ordered to assassinate Sher Afzal and paid assassins for this purpose.
Sher Afzal mentioned in his tweet it is crucial to acknowledge publicly that Maryam Nawaz Sharif poses a threat to his life. She has planned an assassination attempt against him which can take place at any time. Furthermore, he claimed Maryam Nawaz Sharif had given these assassins $100,000 to carry out his murder.
Meanwhile, in other tweets, Sher Afzal declared the plans of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hold a historic protest in Islamabad. People will meet him at the Zero Point Interchange in the federal capital.

He reported about multiple convoys departing from several towns to join the gathering. It will proceed to the bridge near the Centaurus Mall. He wrote those who are young will walk to the press club. However, older people and families will be in cars.
In another tweet, he marked the death anniversary of party worker Ali Bilal. Ali is popular as Zille Shah who died in strange and unknown circumstances last year.
There are assumptions that the Cybercrime Wing of FIA has summoned PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat in connection with a tweet alleging Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif for his assassination attempt.
