The chief spokesperson of the Baloch Students Organization (BSO) has released a statement on the alleged abduction of Anees. It stated Anees is a student at Bahawaldeen Zakaria University. Armed men forcibly abducted him from his hotel located on the main highway at 8 o’clock last night.
According to BSO, his abduction is the result of anti-Baloch policies of the state. It also stated Anees is the nephew of Wahid Baloch, chairman of the BNP Central Executive Committee member.
Anees is also the cousin of Biberg Wahid Baloch, a BNP Committee member. Biberg is also the son of BNP Chairman Wahid Baloch. BNP refers to the Balochistan National Party.
Chairman Wahid Baloch and his family have been under threats from the government and state-sponsored local death squads (referring to Pakistani security forces) since day one due to their political activities. Wahid has mentioned his concerns about it on social media and other platforms.
