Sonu Sood faced backlash after justifying spitting into customer’s food

Bollywood actor Sonu Sood faced intense backlash after he justified an offender caught on camera spitting on rotis he was making for his customers. Sonu found himself in controversy when he defended the spitting man by comparing his act to Shabri in Ramayana.

Politician analyst Abhishek Tiwari addressed Sonu saying he is not Ram and spitting roti-maker is not Mata Shabri. He emphasized that the offending man is spitting in hatred while Mata Shabri is the “symbol of love”.

On the other hand, Indian actress and MP Kangana Ranaut also backlashed Sonu for defending the spitting man. She said Sonu ji will make his own Ramayana based on his personal interpretations of God and religion.

This controversy started when Sonu cited an example of Shabri who tasted berries before presenting them to Lord Ram on Twitter X. Shabri is a Hindu devotee of Lord Ram (Hindu God). However, Ramayana is a religious Holy Book of Hindus.

Sonu questioned why he couldn’t eat rotis that had been spat upon if Lord Ram could eat Shabri’s berries. He emphasized that their Lord Ram ate the tasted berries of Shabir. Hence, he defended man’s spitting act on rotis by calling it a “Humanity” act.

He also called this act the ultimate weapon against violence. Humanity needs to continue existing. Jai Shri Ram (another name of Lord Ram).

Following this, Sonu Sood faced intense backlash from the Indian public. As soon as his tweet went viral, social media users started slamming him and ran a hashtag against him on X.

Many netizens pointed out that the actions of the spitting man were motivated by religious hatred while Mata Shabri intended to deliver only sweet berries to Lord Ram as a sign of her love for her Lord.

Meanwhile, some X users asked Sonu to visit the dhaba while making a video of himself eating the spit-soiled rotis. Several netizens also injected into his comparison in which he compared himself to Lord Shri Ram and the spitting man to Shabri.
