Kantara Chapter 1 teaser is out: Rishab Shetty turns fierce

The Kantara Chapter 1 teaser is finally out which is the prequel of the hit 2022 film “Kantara” and filmmaker Rishab Shetty is back in a ferocious avatar who turns fierce.

The Hombale films unveiled the first-look teaser of “Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1” which will be released in theatres next year in 2024.

The teaser begins with a scene from the 2022 film with an iconic roar heard in theatres throughout the country. And then it introduces a new trident-wielding character.

Kantara describes a magical realistic story about the human versus nature conflict. It revolves around a small community living in the woodlands of Kaadubettu in the southern coastal state of Karnataka. Death leads to war between villagers and evil forces and Shiva, a rebel who defends his village and nature.

The plot of Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 is currently unclear. Rishab Shetty is the writer and director of this prequel. Rishab said that the released part is actually part 2 while part 1 will release next year.

He said the idea came to him when he was shooting Kantara since the history of Kantara has more depth to it. Currently, he is in the middle of diving into more details in terms of scripting. And that will be part 1 in the upcoming year.

Vijay Kiragandur of Homable Films is a producer of Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1. It will be released in multiple languages Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali, and English in 2024.
