Actor Eddie Murphy married Paige Butcher after 5 years of engagement

American actor Eddie Murphy married Australian actress and her long-term fiancee Paige Butcher after five years of engagement. He has now returned to the United States after becoming a married man.

They tied the knot this week in a private wedding ceremony in Anguilla, Eastern Caribbean. They exchanged vows in front of their loved ones.

Eddie wore an off-white Brioni suit, while Paige appeared in a fitted lace gown with a corseted top. An Israeli designer, Mira Zwilinger prepared her wedding gown.

However, the spokesperson of Eddie has not passed any statement on his wedding. But the unexpected wedding surprise came when Eddie called Paige his “wife” in a recent “The Interview” podcast with The New York Times.

US media reports that actor Eddie Murphy married Paige Butcher on July 9, 2024. But he did not disclose this news like other celebrities. Eddie and Paige started dating in 2012. They got engaged in 2018. They both share two kids, five-year-old Max, and eight-year-old daughter Izzy.

Eddie is 63 years old, while Paige is 44 years old. It is significant to note that Eddie has eight other children from his four former relationships. Hence, Eddie owns a total of ten children.

His first kid Eric, was born in 1989 with his ex-girlfriend Paulette McNeely. However, his five children come from his previous marriage to Nicole Mitchell Murphy.

Nicole and Eddie share daughters, including Bria (34), Shayne (29), Bella (22), and son Myles (31). They were married for 12 years before divorcing in 2005.

Eddie also shared a daughter, Angel (23), with Melanie Brown, well-known as Mel B. He is also the father of a son, Christian (34), with his ex-girlfriend Tamara Hood.

Hence, the recent marriage of Eddie with Paige is the second one. Paige also shared relationships with different partners but did not produce any children.

Eddie and Paige have continued to have a secret connection over the years. They rarely made public appearances together.
