Punjab police rejected viral video of army officers beating cops
Punjab police have rejected the viral video of Pakistani army officers beating cops in the Bahawalnagar incident. They declared viral social media videos fake propaganda in which army officers reportedly attacked and beat police officials in Bahawalnagar.
The Bahawlnagar incident has gained widespread attention on social media. However, Punjab police rejected the viral video of army officers on social media. They claimed they had been distorted and misrepresented.
According to Punjab police, the viral video has been presented as there has been fighting between the Pakistan Army and the Punjab Police. Instead, they conducted a cooperative investigation.
After reviewing the circumstances, officers from both institutions reached a peaceful resolution. The Pakistan Army and the Punjab Police are working together to drive out criminals, miscreants, and terrorists from the province. They request social media users to avoid spreading false information.
It all came on April 10, 2024, when several social media videos purportedly showed men in army uniforms attacking Bahawalnagar police personnel.
In one footage, a man and two soldiers were seen making police officers kneel in a line. In another video, a man with a bloodied nose was sitting on the ground behind army officers.
However, politicians expressed their outrage at viral videos. PTI leader Hammad Azhar said that the IG Punjab and the fake CM based on Form 47 deny this incident as “trivial” in their embarrassing explanation.
He also added that the FIR has been registered against the injured police personnel. The IG should have resigned before such an explanation, but he got the medal for no reason.
On the other hand, PTI Spokesperson Raoof Hasan said the Bahawalnagar incident should be a subject of transparent and comprehensive inquiry. Authorities must submit their reports and make them public without changing them.

Renowned journalist Hamid Mir claimed the army officer’s attack on the police officers at the police station of Bahawalnagar came after Bhawalnagar police raided the army soldier’s house. The police officers also tortured women.
However, other people on social media claimed that the police obtained an illegal weapon from a soldier’s relative as a result of the raid, which allegedly triggered the incident.
The raid occurred when ex-SHO Rizwan Abbas, ASI Mohammad Naeem, Constables Mohammed Iqbal, and Ali Raza raided a soldier’s relative, supposedly the army man’s brother.
Following the raid, Inspector Saifullah filed a complaint against the four police officers, accusing them of wrongfully conducting the raid and misusing their power.
Please note the above-mentioned claims are entirely based on personal views and perspectives. As far no specific and clear reason behind this alleged incident is available.
