Khuzdar bomb explosion killed 2 and injured 5 people
A bomb explosion that happened late on Sunday night in Khuzdar town of Balochistan killed two people and injured five more. According to police, crowded Umar Farooq Chowk was the site of a huge explosion.
Many people, including women and kids, were out shopping for Eid when the explosion happened. According to a police official, people and other law enforcement forces rushed to the explosion site and shifted the bodies and injured to Khuzdar Teaching Hospital.
The police official informed media reporters that two people had died and five received injuries due to the Khuzdar bomb explosion. He told unidentified terrorists to set up a motorcycle near Umar Farooq Chowk with an improvised explosive device (IED) on it.
Police stated it appears that terrorists used a remote control area to explode the motorcycle IED. However, no one claimed responsibility for the explosion. Law enforcement officials have initiated an investigation of this terror attack.
Balochistan has been the victim of terror hubs for the past year. At least 28 people died and several others received injuries just a day before election day Feb 8, 2024, due to explosions.
The explosions happened near the candidate’s office in Pishin district and Qilla Saifullah. The first explosion occurred in Pishin district, north of Quetta city. It claimed the lives of sixteen people.

However, twelve people died as a result of the second explosion in Qilla Saifullah. Islamic militant organization (IS) claimed responsibility for these attacks.
Earlier to these attacks, four people died and six received injuries in another explosion terror attack on January 30, 2024. IS also claimed responsibility for this attack. This explosive attack took place at a rally of the major political party PTI in Sibi, Balochistan.
This explosion happened after PTI launched a rally against the 10-year jail sentence of its founder Imran Khan. Hence, the former Prime Minister and PTI founder received a sentence for leaking diplomatic state secrets.
