Tamil actor Daniel Balaji died at the age of 48 in Chennai

Famous Tamil actor Daniel Balaji has died at the age of 48 years at a private hospital in Kottivakam in Chennai. He mainly appeared in Tamil and Malayalam films. Daniel Balaji better known by his stage name, TC Balaji.

According to Indian media reports, Tamil actor Daniel Balaji died due to a heart attack on Friday night. He was shifted to the hospital on Friday after complaining about chest pain.

After his death, his dead body was sent to his home in Purasaiwalkam for final rituals. His death stunned his fans and the Tamil cinema industry.

Indian Director Mohan Raja also paid tribute to Daniel and wrote a note on X (Twitter). He posted death of Daniel Balaji is such awful news. He inspired him to join the film industry. Daniel was a true good friend to him. He misses working with him. May his would rest peacefully.

Daniel Balaji began his career as a unit production manager for Kamal Hassan’s unreleased film “Marudhunayam.” His debut television role was in Radikaa Sarathkumar’s Chitthi. He played the role of the character Daniel.

His debut Tamil film, April Madhathil, came into cinemas in 2022. Aside from Tamil films, he also worked in Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada movies. He was also a cast member of Kaadhal Kondein (2003) film.

However, the first notable part of Daniel Balaji was as a police officer in Kaakha Kaakha, co-starring Suriya. Gautham Vasudev Menon directed this film.

Daniel also co-starred with Kamal Haasan as Ambudhan in the hit film Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. He has also worked in Polladhavan, Chirutha, and Muthirai.

His Kannada film debut began with his role as Seena in Kirataka film in 2011. He also starred in Shivajinagara, Dove, and Bangalore Underworld.

Furthermore, he made his Malayalam film debut with Black and then appeared in Bhagavan. He last starred in the film Ariyavan of Mithran R Jawahar in 2023.
