4 women accused Lahore Police of beating and stripping them
4 women have accused Lahore Police of beating and stripping them naked in the jewelry theft case of PML-N MP Uzma Kardar. They also claimed that Uzma Kardar was present when the police physically tortured them during the inquiry.
The Model Town police allegedly harassed, misbehaved and tortured female employees of a local club following a complaint from MP Uzma Kardar.
The 4 women who accused Lahore police of beating and humiliating them work at a private housing society, Model Town Club. They denied any wrongdoing.
The Model Town Club administration and female workers claimed Model Town police raided and tortured them in the name of interrogation to please Uzma Kardar.
The club administration also published some video statements from accuser employees. They firmly denied the claims made by Uzma Kardar.
In their video statement, the female employees alleged Uzma left the club after swimming and later returned. She might have lost jewelry somewhere outside the club.
It all came when MP Uzma Kardar reported a jewelry theft case at Model Town police station on March 22, 2024. She suspected the theft included two teachers and two club staff.
MP Uzma Kardar stated in the FIR that she went to the club to swim after the assembly session. She mentioned the jewelry was in her purse stored in the club’s locker. Upon her return, she found the jewels worth Rs 4-5 lakhs had stolen.

Shahzad Rafique is SP Model Town and is investigating this case. He stated that they arrested four club employees following the FIR registration of a jewelry theft case.
However, they were eventually released after Uzma Kardar’s spouse was taken into confidence about the situation. Hence, there is no proof of police mistreatment of female employees.
Moreover, SP Shahzad said the club administration supported them and defended them as innocent. He said they are further investigating this matter with the help of monitoring cameras of the club and management statements. He also stated apparently the allegations of Uzma leveled against the club staff are not true.
