The Custodian of Enemy Property is a service under the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). It is in charge of managing the property owned by Pakistani citizens in India. Indian government calls this property “enemy property.”

Amar Verma, subdivisional magistrate (SDM) of Baghpat’s Baraut tehsil, said the auctioned property is 13 bigha field. It is about two hectares. It had a reserve price of INR 39.06 lakh but was sold at auction for over INR 1.38 crore.

SDM Amar said the land belonged to Pervaiz’s family, but he had never been to town because his family had left a long time ago. So, they auctioned this property owned by Pervaiz Musharraf’s family for more than 1.38 crore Indian rupees.

According to Amar, the reserve price for this property was nearly double when the online auction ended. He revealed although the auction was intended to end at 4 p.m., it continued until 10:30 p.m. due to strong demand from buyers.
