Kangana Ranaut film Emergency release date and other details

This article covers the release date and details regarding the cast and story of Kangana Ranaut starring in the film “Emergency.” Kangana is also a politician and belongs to the ruling party BJP.

This film has suffered ups and downs from the initial phase of shooting to the final phase of film release. Kangana posted a heartfelt message in January 2023 while sharing her experience and struggles in making this film.

This was because she suffered from dengue fever, but she continued to shoot in Emergency despite her alarming low blood cell counts. After recovering from illness, the film Emergency faced postponement due to her election campaign for the Mandi constituency in the 2024 elections.

Earlier, her much-awaited political-historical film was supposed to be released in May 2024. However, Kangana Ranaut has now announced the release date for her Emergency film. The film will hit cinemas on September 6, 2024. She took to her Instagram account with a film poster.

She captioned it “the beginning of the 50th year of Independent India’s Darkest Chapter and the explosive story of the most controversial episode in Indian democracy’s history.”

Kangana has portrayed the role of late and former Indian prime minister, Indira Gandhi. It is significant to note that Kangana is not only part of the cast for Emergency. She has also directed and produced this film.

Anupam Kher will portray the role of Jayprakash Narayan, Milind Soman as Field Marshal Sam Manekhshaw, and Shreyas Talpade as Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The Emergency (2024) is a biographical political drama. Its story is focused on post-independence Indian history from 1975 to 1977 when Indira Gandhi announced a nationwide state emergency.

The film Emergency will cover controversies that emerged during this time. However, many people consider it a “biographical film of Indira Gandhi,” but is not her biopic.
