Guahar Khan angry at authorities for stopping her from casting vote
Indian actress and model Guahar Khan became angry at authorities for stopping her from casting a vote for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. She shared her bitter experience on Instagram when the electoral staff didn’t allow her to cast a vote.
Guahar revealed she could not cast a vote at first since her name was missing from the voter list. She wrote she had an appeal. Why do they have Aadhar cards if authorities do not consider them citizens (for casting a vote)?
She remarked you should be able to vote using your Aadhar Card as proof that you are an Indian citizen. The Aadhar Card is a 12-digit identification number that serves as proof of identity and address for Indian residents.
Guahar said she witnessed many people’s names present in the voter list though they have left the building. Although her spouse, mother, and her name are among the registered voters of that building. However, their names were not present on the voter’s list.
She said her family went with an Aadhar Card to give authorities identity proof. However, the electoral staff said no you cannot vote. She questioned authorities about how one cast a vote then.
Guahar Khan became angry and showed disappointment at authorities, saying there was no sense that the Aadhar card was not useful in this situation. She said people are physically fighting and losing their minds over there because their names are not listed on the voter list while they have IDs.

According to Gauhar, that is the most fundamental violation of their vote freedom. However, she posted another video some minutes later saying she had finally cast a vote.
Gauhar also showed her imprinted thumb impression. She wrote that they had cast their votes finally. She also said she wanted to tell all it can be confusing (casting a vote), no matter how hard it is. However, do cast your votes. People!
Guahar deleted the first video she had shared on her Instagram story while complaining about authorities not allowing her to cast a vote.
