Kareena Kapoor received court notice for her pregnancy book title

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has received a court notice for her new pregnancy book, “Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible.” Madhya Pradesh High Court sent this notice to Kareena regarding a petition against her book.

This petition has objected to using the word “bible” in her book. Advocate Christopher Anthony has filed a petition against Kareena Kapoor and the book’s sellers before a single bench of Justice Gurpal Singh Ahluwalia.

Madhya Pradesh High Court summoned Kareena Kapoor to tell why she used the word “bible” in her book title. Moreover, the court sent notices to booksellers following a petition to prevent the book’s sale.

Mr. Christopher Anthony is a social worker from Jabalpur. He claims in his petition that the use of the word bible in the book’s title offends the Christian community.

According to Christopher, the Bible is the holy book of Christians in the world. Hence, it is wrong to compare Kareena Kapoor Khan’s pregnancy with the Bible. He also alleged the actress and claimed Kareena used the term to get cheap publicity for her book.

The petitioner first contacted the police in an attempt to file a First Information Report (FIR) against the actress. But he moved to a lower court to submit a complaint against her when police refused to file a case.

However, the lower court also denied his plea because Christopher could not provide evidence of how the title’s use of the word “bible” was objectionable. After that, he moved to the Additional Sessions Court, which also denied his petition.

Finally, the Madhya Pradesh High Court accepted his petition, and hence, Kareena Kapoor received court notice from the Madhya Pradesh Court. She is a 43-year-old actress who wrote about her prenatal (before birth) journey and offered advice for pregnant women. This book was published in 2021.
