Matiari road crash killed 5 people and injured 10

At least five people died, and more than ten were injured as a result of the deadliest road crash on the National Highway in Matiari, Hyderabad. This tragic accident happened when a passenger coach collided with a trailer.

According to media reports, the accident happened on the National Highway in the area of Saikhat police station in Matiari. A passenger coach going to Punjab from Karachi collided with a trailer, which resulted in a fatal accident. 

After the accident, rescue teams arrived there and transferred the dead and injured people to a nearby hospital. The death toll may increase as several injured are in critical condition. The police have also initiated an investigation into this Matiari road crash.  

Meanwhile, Federal Interior Minsiter Mohsin Naqvi has expressed condolences and deep sorrow to the families of the accident victims. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of injured people. 

In a separate incident, at least 20 people died and 21 received injuries when a bus in the city of Diamer in Gilgit-Baltistan fell into a deep gorge earlier this month. 

This accident happened in the Yashukhaldas area of Diamer on the Karakoram Highway. The passenger bus was traveling from Rawalpindi to Hunza when the driver lost control and went down a gorge.

Rescue teams soon arrived at the accident place and shifted dead and injured people to nearby Chillas hospital. Rescuers said the death toll could increase because most of the injured passengers were in serious condition. 

In another tragic incident, seven people died, and forty-two people received critical injuries as a result of a collision between two coaches on Mehran Highway near Nawabshah in Sindh. This accident happened in June 2023. 

Benazir Deputy Inspector General (DGIP) stated that the accident occurred on Daur Bandhi Road after 4 a.m. Two coaches were coming from Karachi and Peshawar when they collided.
