Trains Crashed In Sheikhupura on Sunday, two trains traveling on the same track. One passenger train, coming from Mianwali and another freight train were already present there and crashed into each other. The train driver tried to stop the crash but didn’t succeed, and the incident ended up injuring 31 passengers on the train. They have transferred five injured passengers to the hospital in the district headquarters.

The investigation for the accident and the rescue work are ongoing at the site. After the train crash, the Lahore division train operation is working properly. The track was also cleared at 7:30 said by the spokesperson according to the GEO News.

The passenger at Mianwali Express is safe and has been dispatched. Because of the accident serious action was taken by suspending four railway officials and the train driver Imran Sarwar with his assistant Muhammad Bilal. A report will be submitted within 24 hours by the inquiry commission which a deputy principal officer leads.
