Virender Sehwag trolls Babar Azam’s team over semi-final
Former India cricketer Virender Sehwag trolls Babar Azam’s team as the race for the semi-finals heats up in the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2023.
Virender Sehwag fired potshots at Pakistan’s cricket squad on Friday. As the fight for the semi-finals of the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2023 heats up.
Because Babar Azam’s Pakistan will face Jos Buttler’s England in a must-win game at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata tomorrow to qualify semi-final. In this regard, he tweeted a banner stating “Bye-bye Pakistan” with the caption”Pakistan Zindabhaag! Have a safe flight back home”.
Why did Virender troll the Pakistan Cricket Team?
New Zealand defeated Sri Lanka yesterday by five wickets. It ended all hopes for the Men in Green. If Pakistan bats first and scores 300 points tomorrow, England must be limited to 13 points. In case they score more than 300 runs in Kolkata, they must maintain a margin of 287 runs.
If Pakistan bowls first, their chances are low. Even if they dismiss England for 100, they must chase down the score in 2.5 overs, which means they must win with 283 balls to spare.
Sehwag shared sarcastic posts on social media making fun of Pakistan ahead of the near-impossible task of qualifying for the World Cup semi-final. However, netizens did not find his post well. One Twitter user wrote “Cricketers shouldn’t troll in my opinion. Let us handle the trolling. Still, you’re capable. Ultimately, you represent a guthka company as its brand ambassador.”

Sehwag also dig at Sri Lanka, stating, “Pakistan ki khaas baat hai ki jis team ko Pakistan support karti hai, woh team Pakistan ki tarah khelne lagti hai. Sorry Sri Lanka!
Pakistan has struggled in the ODI World Cup in India. They started off with two consecutive wins before losing big to India, Australia, and Afghanistan. As well as losing by a wicket to South Africa. While they beat Bangladesh and New Zealand, their low Net Rate Run nearly guarantees an early exit.
Babar Azam’s Pakistan will face England, the defending champions, at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata tomorrow. They will aim to win and end the tournament on a strong note, as qualification appears greatly impossible.
