PCB announced 29 players for fitness camp in Kakul
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the names of 29 players for the fitness camp at a military base in Kakul, Abbottabad. The PCB has confirmed that twenty-nine players will attend a fitness camp in Kakul.
The fitness camp has been organized in collaboration with Pakistan Army. The purpose of this camp is to prepare players for upcoming series and tournaments.
It includes the home T20I series against New Zealand and, the home way T20I series against Ireland and England. The upcoming tournaments include also the ICC T20 World Cup in the United States and the West Indies.
PCB announced 29 players for the fitness camp including Babar Azam, Muhammad Rizwan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Naseem Shah. Saim Ayub, Fakhar Zaman, Sahibzada Farhan, Haseebullah Saud Shakeel, Usman Khan, and Muhammad Haris are others.
Apart from them, Salman Ali Agha, Azam Khan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Irfan Khan Niazi, Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim, and Usama Mir are also part of the fitness camp.
Muhaamd Nawaz, Mehran Mumtaz, Abrar Ahmed, Muhammad Abbas Afridi, Hasan Ali, Muhammad Ali, and Zaman Khan will also attend Kakul camp.
Meanwhile, it is significant to note that just a day before all-rounder Imad Wasim reversed his retirement from Twenty 20 international cricket.
Left-arm fast bowler Muhammad Amir also took his retirement back from international cricket. He also declared himself available for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

Kakul fitness camp will begin on March 26, 2024, and end on April 8, 2024. The camp will focus on team building. It aims to improve players’ mental and physical fitness. It will also ensure players are in the best condition to meet the difficulties ahead.
Under the supervision of expert trainers and coaches, the players will experience a comprehensive training routine to improve their fitness, agility, leadership, strategic thinking, and overall performance on the field.
