Pakistan’s captain Shahzaib slapped Indian opponent at Karate Combat

Pakistan’s captain Shahzaib Rindh slapped Indian opponent Rana Singh at a team event at Karate Combat 45 in Dubai. An important moment in the history of Karate Combat is quickly approaching an India vs Pakistan 3 vs 3 events.

It was earlier expected that tensions between two big rival nations Pakistan and India would be high. However, it proved true when Shahzaib Rindh and Rana Singh got involved in an intense fight on stage during a press conference.

The odd moment came when both contestants got close-up. Meanwhile, Indian player Rana Singh pushed away Shahzaib who gave an extremely forceful, open-handed slap to him.

Shahzaib later posted the incident to Instagram, asking his followers, How was the slap? You messed with the wrong person, my boy (Rana). You are going to die. I will show you your place.

However, this clash did not happen overnight as it had been boiling up for days before it happened. Shahzaib talked in detail to Ashley Teherence of Calf Kick Sports earlier last week about his upcoming opponent Rana Singh.

He said he would shamefully defeat him when he got to the upcoming Pit Submission series. Rana Singh does not know him and talks badly about his country (Pakistan). However, he (Shahzaib) doesn’t talk about India and has a lot of support from India. He emphasized he would bring him low in the Pit series.

Hence, the recent incident in which we witnessed Pakistan’s captain Shahzaib slapped Rana Singh was his reaction to the alleged unethical behavior of Rana.

However, Shahzaib also said he has a bigger picture of why this event is so significant. There have been historic conflicts and rivalries between India and Pakistan, especially in cricket, he sees the event as a chance to support peace.

He stated they have to speak for Pakistan. But in the end, it is a word of peace. He emphasized that this event could lead to the expression of friendship between both countries that have been at odds with each other in the past.

As Karate Combat 45 approaches, it raises questions. Could this be a start for a more cordial sports partnership between Pakistan and India?
