Pakistan squad announced for Asian Volleyball League 2024
The Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) announced the Pakistan squad for the Asian Volleyball League 2024. PVF unveiled its 14-person team for the Engro Central Asian Volleyball League.
This tournament will happen at the Liaquat Gymnasium of Pakistan Sports Complex from May 11 to May 17. Argentinian Ruben Wolochin is the head coach of the Pakistan Volleyball team.Β
The chairman of the Pakistan Volleyball Federation, Chaudhry Muhammad Yaqoob, said Ruben chose players to participate in the much-awaited competition following demanding practices and careful assessment.
Muhammad Yaqoob said fans and supporters are welcome to attend and cheer for all participating teams as they compete for glory and recognition in this prestigious tournament.Β
He also stated the Volleyball league promises to be an exciting competition. It will also bring together top teams from the Asian region to compete for glory and competition.Β
Pakistan squad, under the leadership of Ruben, has aΒ strongΒ determination to represent Pakistan in the league with their abilities and good sportsmanship.Β
PVF announced the Pakistan squad for the Asian Volleyball League 2024, including Waleed Khan, Murad Khan, and Usman Faryad Ali. Muhammad Kasheef, Fakhar Ud Din, Afaq Khan, Abdul Zaheer, Aimal Khan and Musawer Khan. Muhammad Hamad, Muhammad Yaseen, Murad Jehan, Nasir Ali, and Ali Haider are others.
However, Muhammad Kasheef and Murad Jehan will represent the Pakistan squad as vice-captains in the Asian Volleyball League.
Six countries would participate in the Asian Volleyball League, including Iran, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Kyrgyzstan. However, Pakistan is the host nation for the Asian Volleyball League 2024.
Head coach Ruben said the chosen team is the best combination based on their overall utility and performance during the camp for the team. He also wanted this tournament to mean something.
According to Ruben, the Pakistan volleyball team has a long road ahead. He does not doubt that this tournament will be a great opportunity to reach new heights. Hence, they have some talented people in their ranks.
