Pakistan Shaheens won second match of 2024 Top End T20 series
Pakistan Shaheens won the second match by defeating rival team Tasmania Tigers in the 2024 Top End T20 Series. Tasmania Tigers batted in the first part of the innings and managed to score only 124 runs.
Imran Khan junior was the most effective bowler taking three wickets. Moreover, Jahandad Khan and Abbas Afridi each took two wickets for Tasmania Tigers.
However, Pakistan Shaheens succeeded in chasing this score target in only 15.1 overs. Sahibzada Farhan scored top runs 45 at 27 balls including six boundaries. Omar Bin Yousuf made 32 runs off 27 balls with his three boundaries.
Their partnership contributed significantly to help the team’s win by making 58 runs in seven overs until James Scott broke it down.
Afterward, Usman Khan made 10 ten scores off one ball before losing his wicket while Tayyab Tahir made six runs at five balls until Rafael Macmillan sent him to the pavilion.
Mubasir Khan scored 16 at 14 balls and Muhammad Irfan Khan made 11 at 7 balls. Their partnership then led Pakistan to win with a 26-run partnership for the sixth wicket.
Following this, Pakistan Shaheens won the second match against Tasmania Tigers by five wickets with the remaining 29 balls. It is significant to note that Pakistan has won two of the last three games in the Top End T20 Series.
The next game between Melbourne Renegades and Pakistan Shaheens is scheduled for August 15, 2024. However, Pakistan had previously lost to Melbourne Stars by 47 runs in their second match of the Top End T20 Series.
Melbourne Stars left a target score of 176 runs in their early innings. However, Pakistan could only make 128 runs at the cost of nine wickets in 20 overs which led to their defeat.
