Jasmine Paolini vs Angelique Kerber Dramatic Win United Cup
The tennis match of Jasmine Paolini vs Angelique Kerber took a dramatic turn on the second day of the United Cup 2023-2024 in Sydney. This interesting match took place at Ken Rosewall Arena, Sydney.
Angelique Kerber is a professional German Tennis player and former world number one and three-time grand slam winner. The shocking turn came when Italian player Jasmine Paolini defeated Angelique.
The victory of Jasmine put Italy ahead 1-0 against Germany in the United Cup. It is the first win of Jasime who defeated Angelique by 6-4 and 7-5. Angelique lost by 4-6 and 5-7 against Jasmine at the United Cup.
Jasmine Paolini appeared to go with 6-4, 3-1. But in the second set, she had to battle back from a 3-4 disadvantage after she gave up two rounds to receive medical treatment.
Although Angelique took advantage of Jasmine’s slowed movement after a medical break up. But she was no longer playing with the same intensity she had earlier.

Angelique was competing for the first time since Wimbledon 2022 because she gave birth to her daughter Liana in February. Jasmine, who rose from No. 59 to No. 30 last season earned her a nomination for Most Improved Player of 2023. She was able to beat Angelique completely over an exciting one hour and 48 minutes in today’s tennis match.
In the first set, Angelique smashed the line and she was on fire leading by 3-1. She left for Jasmine to win four straight rounds to take a 5-3 lead. Jasmine was unable to serve out the set. But she battled back in the next game with a stunning seven-deuce tussle full of winners on both sides to convert her sixth set point.
Surprisingly, Jasmine displayed incredible endurance in the final four rounds of the match, relying on her shotmaking ability to pull off a sequence of winners. Jasmine Paolini vs Angelique Kerber match left the audience stunned with a shocking win.
