Indian Skipper, Rohit Sharma said the match pitch was good to bat and he backed himself to play a natural game. He knew that the wicket was going to get easier to bat so he is happy to have gone big. He also shares he is happy about making a century record in the World Cup.

Afghanistan Cricket team’s captain Hashmatullah Shahidi made 80 runs and Azmatullah Omarzai scored 62 runs. Their partnership secured a reasonable score left for India to chase at 272/8.

Shahidi said they knew that the battling line of the Indian Cricket team is very strong so they decided to bat to put pressure on the Indian team. They had a target to score more than 300 runs. But in the latter phase of 1st innings, back-to-back wickets of Afghani batters hold them back.

India has a historic upper hand over Afghanistan by winning two out of three ODIs (One Day International).
