Daniil Medvedev beat Sebastian Korda in Miami Open

Russian Tennis player Daniil Medvedev beat American Sebastian Korda in a tough match at Hard Rock Stadium in Florida in the Miami Open 2024. As the game progressed to a close contest, Daniil began to smash Sebastian.

However, Sebastian remains steady for a long time during play. Despite making 24 unintentional mistakes during the match, Daniil secured 4-5 scores in the second set.

Following the successful deliverance of his second set point, he won the ninth game and went on to play after two hours and twenty-three minutes. Hence, Daniil Medvedev beat Sebastian Korda with 5-7, 7-6 (4), 6-3 set points.

Daniil stated there were numerous reasons why it was difficult. But he performed brilliantly. He plays as if someone is pushing him in the back. Since the courts here except the middle court, are a little smaller than he would want.

He also said he still feels he is being pushed in the back even when he serves when he doesn’t need that much room. He must learn to cope with this emotion and learn when to intervene.

Furthermore, Daniil said he needed to rediscover his rhythm, but he performed better and better in both sets. If he faces increasingly difficult opponents in the following one, he wants to start like he did in the third set. However, you are content if you win games.

Daniil Medvedev is a number four player in the PIF ATP Rankings leading Sebastian Korda by 3-2. He defeated 17th-ranked player Alexander Bublik in Rome last year to win his maiden ATP Masters 1000 championship on clay.

Daniil will face Alexander in the upcoming Mutua Madrid Open 2024 (Round of 16) on April 30, 2024. He has been ranked as the world’s number-one player in men’s singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).
