Insta360 X4 Camera launched with 8K resolution for the first time
Software company Insta360 has launched this year’s new 360-degree camera, X4 with the highest resolution of 8K for the first time. The newly launched X4 action camera is the successor to the previous camera version Insta360 X3.
The exceptional feature of Insta36o X4 is its capacity to record video footage in 8K resolution at 30 frames per second (fps). It has a brand-new 2,290 mAh battery that can record 8K resolution video for 75 minutes and a 5.7K video for 135 minutes is also included.
You might find an extra boost in quality and detail useful for watching action videos on screens bigger than your phone, moving around 360-degree videos on sites like YouTube. It also allows you to crop out a view from a 360-degree recording.
4K and 5.7K resolutions at 100 frames per second (fps) and 60 fps can also be recorded with X4 Camera. However, the previous version X3 could only record 5.7K at 30 fps and 4K at 60 fps.
If you don’t want to record 360-degree video, you have an option that allows you to shoot through just one lens. It is much like previous models which let you use 4K video with 60 frames per second.
On the other hand, the X4 action camera has a 2.5-inch touchscreen and scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass construction. It is much better than the X3 camera.
However, the X4 has the same 72-megapixel still photo capability as the X3. It also features Me Mode which records a 180-degree video while perfectly hiding your selfie stick. Me Mode on the X4 is also available in 4K and 2.7K, unlike the X3 (available in 5.7K only).
X4 Camera also features an additional layer of protection for the delicate lens with its removable lens shield. It makes it a potential game-changing tool for photography in bad weather conditions.
The camera manufacturers ensure that the removable lens shield won’t interfere with the 360-degree stitching process. It is different in the case of the X3 Camera where users have to deal with the stick-on lens.
However, the price of the Insta360 X4 camera is $499. It is approximately 100 dollars more expensive than X3 ($399) due to its enhanced features.
