First AI-powered poetry camera uses AI to turn photos into poems

The most recent addition to the never-ending venture of Artificial intelligence is the first-ever world’s AI-powered “Poetry Camera.” It is a masterpiece for writers and artists to transform their writing and photos into poetry.

This innovation in the artificial intelligence (AI) field is boundless. AI is now capable of more than just creating assignments and composing emails. It can also predict human behavior, make pictures talk and sing, run AI contests, and even copy Star Trek technologies.

The first AI-powered “Poetry Camera” combines the latest technology with creative flare to turn images into poetry. Chief Industrial Designer Ryan Mather and US Air Force Kelin Carolyn Zhang worked to develop a Poetry Camera.

This camera seems like a regular Polaroid Camera from the outside. It converts the images it sees into poetic descriptions that wonderfully portray the shot that users capture instead of taking pictures.

It shows the perfect combination of artificial intelligence and hardware utilizing Open AI’s GPT-4 model and running on a Raspberry Pi single-board computer.

After processing the photos, the Raspberry Pi sends the extracted visual data which is then sent to the AI component. This AI module examines several characteristics of the photo, such as colors, patterns, important parts, and even the underlying emotions expressed.

The poetry camera’s development began for Ryan Mather and Kelin Carolyn Zhang as a passion project that combined their love of technology and the arts.

Ryan Mather experimented with multiple AI models upon accessing GPT-3. After that, the duo improved their model after receiving encouraging feedback from friends and family. It led to the creation of the much-awaited final product.

Ryan and Kelin stated the poetry camera is more convenient for starters. The data is also highly secure and protected. Everyone has a camera in their pocket through their cell phone. Hence, they wanted to do something very different.
