Australian woman claims to remember everything in her mother’s womb
An Australian woman named Rebecca Sharrock claims to remember everything in her mother’s womb. Rebecca is a 34-year-old writer and public speaker from Brisbane, Australia.
She has a rare condition while suffering from hyperthymesia. Hyperthymesia is a neurological disorder that causes people to remember massive details about their past lives.
It means she can remember many memories, including unnecessary keen details, about events that happened earlier in her life.
This condition is known as highly superior autobiographical memory (H-SAM). Rebecca is only one of 62 persons in this world having H-SAM, which makes it incredibly unusual.
Rebecca said the earliest dated memory of her is not when she was just 12 days old. However, it is possibly from when she was a fetus in the womb.
According to Rebecca, the interesting thing about it is that she doesn’t hold any attachment to a significant memory. Her memories don’t need to mean much for some reason. She thinks she remembers about 95% of things that happened to her.
However, she also claimed she required therapy due to H-SAM. She stated her mind just can’t let go of garbage from the past. She revealed doctors diagnosed her with H-SAM on Jan 23, 2011, when she was 21 years old.

Before this diagnosis, doctors had mistakenly diagnosed her with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) at the age of sixteen years. This mistaken diagnosis came as part of her obsessively recalling past events, such as having her toys taken away from her at school.
She claimed although these memories appear unimportant. But it disturbs her. She receives all the sensory data that she had at a particular moment in her life.
Hence, Australian woman Rebbeca claims to remember everything in her mother’s womb, even before birth. She mentioned she could remember everything when she was 12 days old. She also remembers her first-taken picture and spent years telling her mother about it afterward.
