Woman arrested for running car over Motorway cop in Islamabad
Rawalpindi police have arrested a woman driver named Farah for running her car over a Motorway cop in Islamabad. They have also charged Farah with attempt of murder and careless driving.
Farah reportedly fought angrily when a Motorway Police officer stopped her for speeding. Later, she drove her car over an officer standing in front of it and injured the cop. She escaped the scene through a damaged toll plaza barrier.
The entire incident was captured on camera and shared on social media. When the video went viral two days ago, internet users became furious with the lady driver’s exaggeration and demanded severe punishment.
However, Islamabad Traffic Police revealed that this incident happened on January 1, 2024. But now police have arrested a woman for running a car over a Motorway cop, Muhammad Sabir.
Meanwhile, the Rawalpindi Police Department reported a special squad led by a Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations arrested Farah from Islamabad on April 24, 2024. RPO Rawalpindi Babar Sarfraz Alpa has issued an order to conduct the search operation for Farah.

According to Rawalpindi Police, Farah was hiding after an FIR was filed against her at the Nasirabad Police Station, Rawalpindi. She committed an offense by hitting patrolling officer Muhammad Sabir with her car and then escaped the scene in violation of the state’s writ.
Moreover, Nasirabad Police officers used modern technology to trace her down and arrest her. They also found her car which she used to hit Muhammad Sabir. The Rawalpindi police department showed commitment to keep taking indiscriminate action against people who break the law.
In a separate incident, a police officer suffered critical injuries when the car of a serving government official’s son hit him. This incident happened on Dec 19, 2023, in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Karachi.
Mukhtiyar Ahmed was the victim police officer. However, the car-hitter was Wasim Shamshad who introduced himself as the son of the Secretary of Revenue in Sindh.
