Uch Sharif road accident injured four cops among six people

Four cops among six people have injured in a road accident that took place on the Uch Sharif Interchange. A bus going too fast hit a police van on Motorway M-5 near the Uch Sharif Interchange.

According to police sources, a fast passenger coach hit a Rajanpur police car on its way on Motorway M-5 near the Uch Sharif Interchange in the Uch Sharif area of Bahawalpur district.

As a result, six people, including four police officers, were seriously injured in the Uch Sharif Road accident. Rescuers and medics rushed to the scene of the accident and took the hurt people to Uch Sharif Hospital for immediate medical care.

Police sources told police car was on its way to the police station after getting two suspects checked out by a medical center when a fast bus hit the car. Local cops have been investigating this incident.

In a separate incident, two people died and four were injured. It happened when two trucks collided head-on on the highway near Kallar Kahar on March 31, 2024.

A spokesperson for the motorway police said the accident happened because the trailer truck from Islamabad going to Lahore didn’t have working brakes.

The truck drivers, Mohammad Adnan and Mohammad Irfan died at the scene of the accident. However, four of their helpers received injuries.

The cops in Kallar Kahar said that Mr. Irfan’s truck had broken down on its way to Lahore. Because of this, the car went off the road and hit a truck. The truck was coming from Lahore on the other side of the road.

Because of the crash, the authorities closed the motorway to traffic. However, motorway police rescue teams arrived and took the injured to the hospital. Later, both sides of the highway were open for traffic again.
