Transgenders attacked Police Station after a raid on a music party
A group of transgenders attacked Pishtakhara Police Station after police raided their music party in Peshawar. According to media reports, an angered mob of transgender persons reached the relevant police station and protested in front of it.
This violent attack of transgenders on a police station came after its police officers conducted a raid on their party on June 5, 2024 night.
However, a police official told the media there were reports of aerial gunfire during a music event in the raid area with the presence of criminal elements. Hence, it led them to raid the venue.
Following that, the transgender people who were dancing at that party protested against the raid outside the police station. Eventually, their protest turned into a violent demonstration when they tried to enter the police station and attacked the front gate.
In a separate incident, a group of transgenders attacked and vandalized Police Station in Kharian last month. This incident happened on May 6, 2024, in Kharian Tehsil of Gujarat district in central Punjab.
Following the attack by transgenders, the Kharian Police filed First Information Report (FIR) against 27 transgenders. They stated in FIR suspects attacked the Police Station by throwing stones at it while assaulting the policemen.

However, the conflict between police and transgenders in Kharian started with the alleged mistreatment of a transgender by two policemen. It later turned into a major clash.
Transgenders alleged that the police officers of Kharian Police Station harassed one of their colleagues while keeping him in custody. Hara Sajjad was the victim transgender. He filed an FIR against Constable Umar Bilal and his fellow.
Hara stated in FIR that Umar and another police colleague forcibly stopped him near the railway gate. They harassed him by keeping him in custody. Following his allegations, Gujarat police suspended two policemen for allegedly abusing him.
