Top Al-Qaeda terrorist Amin ul-Haq arrested in Gujrat

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab has arrested Top Al-Qaeda terrorist, Amin ul-Haq in Gujrat. According to a CTD spokesperson, Amin was a close ally of Osama Bin Laden, the former head of Al-Qaeda since 1996.

The spokesperson revealed that they arrested terrorist Amin after an intelligence-based operation (IBO). Amin is a well-known terrorist affiliated with Al-Qaeda whom the UN has listed as a global terrorist.

He stated that an investigation is in progress and CTD has taken legal action against Amin. It released a statement about his arrest and called his detention a “breakthrough development.”

According to the CTD statement, Amin participated in several terrorist activities. Hence, the arrest of Amin is a significant development in the ongoing efforts to fight terrorism in Pakistan and around the world.

CTD also stated that Amin was planning a large-scale terrorism plot in Pakistan. Following the cooperation of IBO, they managed to hold him in custody and remained successful in sabotaging his dangerous terrorist activities from happening in the coming days.

Moreover, CTD officials expressed their dedication to eliminating terrorism from Punjab while getting rid of all terrorists. They voted to leave no stone unturned to put all terrorists and ani-state actors behind bars.

However, CTD arrested top Al-Qaeda leader and terrorist Amin ul-Haq from Sarai Alamgir town of the Gujrat district of Punjab.

In a separate incident, CTD killed a suspected sharpshooter and claimed a member of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Faizan Butt on May 12, 2024. He had involvement in three attacks on police officials in Lahore within a week.

Faizan had pursued a constable and a sub-inspector as they were leaving for their homes and shot them to death. Moreover, he shot and injured another police constable.

He went searching for police officers in uniform but without carrying guns. Hence, unarmed police officers fell victim to him.
