Teenager died after alleged violence by fake Pir in Bahawalnagar
A teenager died after alleged violence by fake Pir Zaheer Ahmed in the Takht Mahal area of Bahawalnagar, Punjab. According to Bahawalnagar police, an 18-year-old teenage boy passed away after he allegedly suffered abuse at the hands of a fake spiritual healer named Pir Zaheer.
The police claim that the alleged Pir assassinated a young boy on May 9, 2024, after attacking him violently. However, the boy visited Pir Zaheer, seeking spiritual healing for a health problem.
According to police, they have opened an investigation into the alleged incident and filed a complaint against Pir Zaheer. They have also taken Pir into their custody. Their investigation regarding this matter is ongoing.
The police filed a case against Zaheer in response to a complaint from the deceased boy’s brother, Zulqarnain. They also revealed that Zulqarnain informed them that Pir Zaheer Ahmed had visited their home a few days before.
According to Zulqarnain, Pir Zaheer told the family members of the dead boy that evil spirits had possessed the boy. After that, his family left his brother alone with him.
However, after hearing about his brother’s illness, Zulqarnain went to the place of Pir Zaheer, where he found his brother dead. Hence, he claimed the teenager (his brother) died after alleged violence by fake Pir.

Zulqarnain also emphasized that Pir tortured his brother before killing him. So, he demands justice from the relevant authorities to punish Pir Zaheer for his alleged evil deeds.
This incident is not new, as innocent and illiterate people have always fallen victim to mistreatment and illogical treatments of Pirs or spiritual healers. One such horrible event happened in 2016 when a fake Pir tortured a young boy and slashed his tongue to free his body from the possession of evil spirits.
This incident happened in Saddar. The family of the victim boy handed him over to Pir Israr Husain of Mari Qadir Bakhsh for spiritual treatment.
