Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar suspended the SHO of the Gulshan-e-Iqbal police station over the killing of gold medalist Irtaqa Moin. Irtaqa was killed on June 1, 2024, during a robbery attempt on him.
Karachi police have also filed an FIR against unknown men for this incident. This incident reportedly happened in the evening when robbers killed Irtaqa during a theft attempt in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 7. The robbers took away his motorbike, cell phone, and cash. Later, they escaped the crime scene.
Irtaqa was a 27-year-old gold medalist from Hamdard University and worked as a mechanical engineer for a private business. He got married a year ago. He was now doing his MBA.
The funeral prayers for a young engineer took place at the Jamia Sattaria near Nipa Chowrangi. Several people, including family and friends, attended his funeral ceremony.
The brother of the dead guy, Ibad, demanded justice from the relevant authorities for the death of Irtaqa. He stated the economic situation in the country is not good, and talent is leaving Pakistan. But what happens to people who are working for the government? They demand justice.
