Shahid Khaqan and Miftah Ismail to launch Pakistan Awaam party
Chief lefties politicians of PML-N, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Miftah Ismail, have announced to launch of their own Pakistan Awaam party. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has served as the former prime minister of Pakistan, while Miftah Ismail is the former finance minister of Pakistan.
This announcement came after a video emerged on the social media sites. This video included the caption, “Awaam Pakistan: Badlen ge nizam.” It means “People of Pakistan will transform the system.”
Shahid and Miftah came up with the idea for the new party some time ago after leaving the recent ruling PMLN party. Their purpose of establishing a new political party is an attempt to pull the nation out of crisis.
However, Shahid Khaqan and Miftah Ismail to launch the Pakistan Awaam party on July 6, 2024. Miftah Ismail recently announced the foundation of the Awaam Pakistan party while Shahid served as its chairman.
Miftah spoke about the party’s manifesto. He explained his goal was to change the current government structure by making the people the primary decision markers.

Moreover, he also revealed that his party contacted several significant politicians around the nation. He named PML-N members Sardar Mehtab Abbasi, Javed Abbasi, Syed Zaeem Qadri, and Rana Zahid Tauseef.
Other PML-N politicians included Zahid Binnouri and Sardar Anwar Soomro. In particular, Sheikh Salahuddin of the MQM and Dr. Zafar Mirza of PTI will join the Abbasi-led party. Dr. Zafar has also served as health assistant to former prime minister Imran Khan.
According to Miftah, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi filed paperwork with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to register the party under the Election Act of 2017.
He also recalled the reason why Shahid Khaqan left PML-N. Shahid parted ways with PML-N due to disagreements about Maryam Nawaz’s nomination as the party’s leader, which replaced him.
However, Miftah left PML-N following the party’s action to remove him from all senior positions as he criticized the economic policies of former finance minister Ishaq Dar.
