PTI worker Neeli Pari arrested for attacking PMLN President Tahir Anjum
Lahore Police arrested PTI worker Aneela Jutt, also known as “Neeli Pari” for attacking Tahir Anjum, the president of PMLN Cultural Wing. Her arrest came after she abused and attacked Tahir. Tahir is also a stage actor.
According to Deputy Inspector General Operations Faisal Kamran, they arrested the accused woman after police searched and raided a property in the Lohari area.
Aneela attacked Tahir on July 24, 2024, when he was passing by the PTI’s hunger strike camp outside the Punjab Assembly. PTI workers had set up the camp to show support for their leaders and party founder Imran Khan.
As Tahir approached PTI camp, furious Aneela attempted to pull him from his car. She reportedly beat and cursed Tahir while ripping off a sleeve of his shirt.
She ignored the requests and warnings of security guards to let Tahir leave despite their attempts to stop her by a few police officers and bypassing people. But, all their efforts went in vain.
Aneela claimed that Tahir had called PTI founder Imran Khan a “terrorist” in the recordings he had posted online. According to Aneela, Tahir made derogatory remarks against her leader.
Soon after social media started to be flooded with videos of this incident. The viral video showed Aneela scolding Tahir and desperately fighting to remain in his car while ripping his right arm’s sleeves into pieces.

He also criticized other PTI workers for pushing him and for engaging in alleged gangsterism like members of terrorist organizations.
Moreover, he denied doing anything illegal to incite an attack of this nature or posting content critical of Imran Khan. Following this incident, Lahore Police arrested PTI worker Aneela or Neeli Pari today.
