PTI lawyers attacked Khawer Maneka outside Islamabad Court
PTI lawyers attacked the ex-husband of Bushra Bibi, Khawer Maneka on the premises of District and Sessions Court Islamabad after the Iddat case hearing. PTI lawyers, including Naeem Panjotha, Khalid Yousaf, and others appeared in court for the iddat nikah case. Similarly, the opponent party, Khawer Maneka, also attended a court hearing.
Khawer was leaving the court when PTI lawyers assaulted him. Before this attack incident, there was a heated argument between Khawer and the PTI lawyers within the courtroom. They also used sloganeering against each other inside the courtroom.
While coming outside the courtroom, both conflicting parties continued raising slogans. Meanwhile, one of the PTI lawyers attacked Khawer Maneka with a bottle and gave him a face punch.
In a viral video on social media, Khawer Maneka, dressed in white shalwar kameez, appeared to come out of court. A PTI lawyer pushed him down after a few minutes. However, surrounding people attempted to rescue him from an angered PTI lawyer while other PTI lawyers intervened and stopped the attacker.
This clash began at the Iddat case hearing based on appeals of former prime minister Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi. They filed petitions against the Senior civil judge Quadratullah’s decision in the iddat case.

Judge Qudratullah has given Imran and Bushra Bibi seven years imprisonment. He also fined them 5 million each for allegedly marrying during the Iddat period. Moreover, he also declared their marriage “un-Islamic.”
This decision came in response to the petition of Khawer Maneka, who claimed his ex-wife married Imran Khan during Iddat. However, District and Sessions Judge Shahrukh Arjumund asked PTI lawyers to move appeals to a different court in today’s hearing.
Judge Shahrukh stated he had to conduct a hearing on Bushra Bibi and Imran Khan’s appeals today. Since Khawer Maneka publicly showed his lack of trust in him (judge), it would not be appropriate to rule in this case as Khawer has expressed no confidence.
