Lahore District Administration sealed 10 shops and 44 LPG cylinders
The District Administration of Lahore sealed 10 shops and 44 LPG cylinders – at multiple places throughout the city. This widespread crackdown happened last night.
Several Assistant Commissioners of different city zones conducted this operation. Assistant Commissioner (AC) Model Town Sahibzada Yousaf destroyed two mini petrol pumps, seized ten commercial cylinders, and sealed two shops during a drive.
Similarly, AC City Rai Babar sealed five shops and seized 25 commercial cylinders. He also seized two small petrol pumps and three gas refilling machines.
Meanwhile, AC Shalimar Anum Fatima seized three shops and nine commercial LPG cylinders. Anum also destroyed a petrol and gas refilling machine.
However, the Lahore District Administration collectively sealed 10 shops and five mini petrol pumps. They also destroyed and seized several other illegal stations and items following orders of Lahore DC Rafia Haider. DC refers to the Deputy Commissioner.
DC Rafia stated this strict crackdown comes in response to orders of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif regarding the safety of the people.
She emphasized that the Lahore administration will not accept businesses involved in illegal LPG refilling. She also urged people to help them in this crackdown against illegal LPG and small petrol pumps. Rafia also insisted people avoid buying or refilling cylinders from such illegitimate establishments.
The District Administration of Lahore also seized 197 LPG cylinders and 21 wet machines just two days before. They also destroyed 12 refilling machines and two mini petrol machines. This crackdown happened in the Allama Iqbal Zone, Nishtar, Gulberg, Dataganj Bakhsh, and Shalimar.
Meanwhile, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) also conducted a widespread crackdown against illegal constructions in Defence Road, College Road, and Johar Town. They destroyed seven properties.
All this crackdown is to ensure the safety of Punjab civilians as people have established illegal LPG centers, petrol pumps, and other shops in populated regions.
