KP Govt launched helicopter safari service at Shandur Polo Festival

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Govt launched helicopter safari service for tourists during the Shandur Polo Festival. Shandur Polo Festival is a sports festival that happens every year from July 7 to July 9 in Shandur Top, Gizer District, Pakistan.

Patronate Aviation and KP Culture and Tourism Authority will work together to provide tourists “helicopter safari service.” Barkatullah Marwat is Director General (DG) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority. Hence, DG Barkatullah signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Patronate Aviation to operate this service.

Zahid Khan is an advisor to the Chief Minister of KP Govt for Tourism and Culture, who launched a helicopter safari service. This service also offers incredible packages for visiting the eye-catching meadows of Qaqlasht, the Lowari Tunnel, the Kalash Valley, Tirich Mir Peak, and Chitral Airport by helicopter.

Shandur Polo Festival is one of the biggest festivals in Pakistan. It is a polo tournament played between the Chitral and Gilgit teams from July 7 to July 9. This tournament dates back to 1936.

Hence, polo fans travel from all across the nation and the world to attend the tournament. This tournament happens at the highest polo ground in the world. Numerous other activities include trot fishing at nearby lakes and streams, horseback riding, and mountaineering, hiking.

It also includes an exploration of the culture of Northern Pakistan by hiking and camping at the Shandur Pass. This pass is located at the boundary of Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The Shandur Polo Festival also includes folk music and dancing. It shows the culture of Nothern Pakistan.
