In-laws allegedly burned a woman to death in Muzaffargarh

A woman was allegedly burned to death by her in-laws in a horrible incident that happened last night in Basti Bulaili Mouza jungle Tehsil Jatoi. The victim woman was Samina Bibi.

This incident came to light when Samina’s relatives filed an FIR against her in-laws at Jatoi Police Station in Muzaffargarh. A police spokesperson revealed that Samina was a married woman whose in-laws allegedly tortured her.

In-laws allegedly killed Samina Bibi by setting her on fire

Her in-laws poured fuel over her and then lit her on fire. It led to the death of Samina Bibi. Following the complaint of the victim’s relatives, Jatoi police filed an FIR against Samina’s father-in-law, three brothers-in-law, and husband.

Wajid Iqbal, the brother of Samina, requested Jatoi police to file this FIR. The police arrested the victim’s husband, Asif. Other suspects are on the run whom police trying to arrest soon.

Samina Bibi reportedly had many arguments with her husband and in-laws during their two years of marriage. According to police, the long-ongoing domestic dispute of a victim woman, Samina could be the reason that her in-laws allegedly burned her to death.


Dr. Usman Anwar, the Inspector General of Police Punjab (IGP) took notice of this tragic incident. He has also demanded a report from DG Khan division’s Regional Police Officer (RPO).

IGP Usman also gave the order to the District Police Officer (DPO) Muzaffargarh to supervise the investigation of this case personally. He stated those who lit the woman on fire must be arrested right away.

Usman also said violence against women is unacceptable. He urged relevant police authorities to conduct raids to arrest suspects. Meanwhile, RPO DG Khan, Sajjad Hassan Khan, has taken notice of this incident.

Sajjad demanded report from DPO Muzzafargarh. He ordered his subordinates to conduct an investigation based on scientific facts with the help of forensic teams to gather all relevant evidence.
