British police brutally tortured two Pakistanis at Manchester Airport

British police officers brutally assaulted and tortured two Pakistanis in front of their family members at Manchester Airport. The video of this shocking incident went viral in Pakistan and other countries.

When British police officers were torturing and beating two young Pakistani men, the desperate mother of one of the victims tried to intervene in the torture session and save the victims.

She tried to stop the ongoing violence but policemen continued to beat his son. The viral video showed police officers continuously hitting and kicking the young men.

Following this incident, hundreds of people protested outside the local police station in Rochdale. They raised the slogan “GMP, Shame on You.” GMP refers to Greater Manchester Police.

Later, high British authorities launched an investigation against seven police officers who brutally tortured two Pakistanis. Moreover, they have suspended five of them.

According to GMP, this incident began when accused officers were called to reports of a fight involving two public members in Terminal 2 of Manchester Airport.

So when police officers arrived there three of them faced violent attacks and punches. It happened when they tried to arrest the individuals from the fight incident.

Afterward, victim police officers were rushed to the hospital for treatment. One of them was a female officer who suffered a broken nose.

GMP emphasized that there was a clear risk throughout this assault that the fighting passengers would have taken firearms from attending officers because they were firearms officers. The officers arrested four men for assault and committing violence on emergency personnel at the airport.

However, GMP expressed concern regarding the assault and torture of victim Pakistanis at the hands of British police officers. It stated they are investigating the concerns regarding the behavior of alleged officers in the video. Their professional Standards Directorate is aware of this incident.
