Aoun Ali Khosa case: LHC ordered CCPO to YouTuber’s recovery by 20th

The Lahore High Court (LHC) ordered CCPO Lahore to recover and produce YouTuber Aoun Ali Khosa in an abduction case. CCPO refers to Capital City Police Officer. The court gave relevant authorities a deadline of August 20, 2024.

This decision came after the abducted YouTuber’s wife Binish Iqbal filed a petition in LHC against alleged unlawful and illegal custody of law enforcement officials.

Binish also expressed her concern for the safety and recovery of his husband. She stated she did not know where he was. She had a strong suspicion that he fell victim to an enforced disappearance.

After hearing the petition, Justice Shahbaz Ali Rizvi directed CCPO Lahore to appear in court on August 20 with the abducted YouTuber.

However, Lahore Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Faisal Kamran stated kidnapping of Aoun had not been reported to them. Police would also look into this case if they received a formal complaint.

Soon after the abduction, the victim’s brother Ali Sher Khosa also voiced his concerns some unknown armed men took Aoun into custody from his flat in Lahore.

Ali also urged everyone to share information about the kidnapping case of Aoun Ali Khosa and requested to pray for his safe recovery.

Meanwhile, he also refused claims that his family was receiving threats. He emphasized this news is not true. Hence, he requested people stop spreading the rumored news. According to Ali Sher Khosa, nobody has threatened them on a phone call.

However, Binish described Aoun in the petition as a respectable digital content creator, comedian, and artist with a massive YouTube following of 137,000 subscribers.

She stated twelve police officers and men with masked faces in plain clothes allegedly broke into their residence. They also smashed down their home’s front door at 2 a.m. on August 15, 2024. They were highly armed individuals.

Accused armed people seized Aoun’s computer system, digital camera, laptop, and phone. Afterward, they took Aoun with him forcibly in a Balck Revodoublr cabin car and a Fortuner.

Armed men allegedly attacked Aoun and pushed him into Black Vigo parked outside their residence. Then, they left the incident place.
