12-year-old Ganga rape-murder case: Main suspect arrested
The Karachi police arrested the main suspect Waqar Ali in the gang rape-murder case of a 12-year-old Hindu girl, Ganga in Saddar. They arrested Waqar using CCTV footage showing him taking Ganga to the crime scene.
According to police, three men gang-raped Ganga on August 25, 2024. Waqar with his two other allies raped Ganga before murdering her. Afterward, the suspects disposed of her dead body in the trash place.
This case came to light when the dead body of Ganga was found inside a sack at a garbage dump near Lucky Star in the Saddar. Later, police moved her dead body to Jinnah Hospital for post-mortem examination.
Police surgeon Dr. Sumaya said the medical report confirmed Ganga had been raped. Her dead body had torture marks which showed suspects physically and sexually assaulted her.
Law enforcement officials said suspects dumped dead body after murdering her somewhere else. At first, her identity was unknown and authorities shifted her body to the Chhipa morgue for identification. They also filed a case under charges of kidnapping and murder.
Authorities are also using advanced technology to arrest the other two suspects in the 12-year-old Ganga rape-murder case. They have collected all samples for DNA, serology, and drug testing to arrest two other rapists.

In a separate incident, a fake faith healer (pir) raped a mentally sick teenage girl. The pir identified as Baba Sardar. He did not only rape an 18-year-old girl but also made a video while raping her in Faislabad.
The victim girl’s family filed a complaint against Baba Sardar at Sargodha Road Police Station. They accused Baba Sardar of threatening to leak a rape video while demanding one million rupees from them.
The victim’s brother informed police that Baba Sardar also leaked a rape video as they could not give him one million rupees.
